Biomass is only source of biological material in the universe. As it cannot be manufacturable outside earth it becomes one of most valuable resources. Biomass is used for crew nutrition.
Life cicle
All biomass in the space has origin on Earth as a product of life itself. All biomass in space is recycled and used again. Main source is in dead bodies of crew. From dead bodies is reprocessed in Reprocessor to Biomass and used as commodity. Crew is equipped with biomass on each mission. Biomass is stored in human body of each astronaut. Biomass can be recycled in Reprocessor again from dead body of crew.
Biomass in units of Evil
In remains of enemy units of Evil is often biomass present as a human body remains. Purpose of this is still unknown.
