Moving in the space
Rotation
You can rotate ship by clicking middle mouse button in any direction, or pressing C
key and selecting a direction by left mouse button.
Flight to any object
You can flight to object by clicking right mouse button on the object and selecting "APPROACH".
Flight to point
You can fly to any point by pressing V
key and selecting two of three coordinates by left mouse button. First are horizontal XZ vectors, after left mouse button confirmation will view change to horizontal and you can set final destination by selecting height "Y" vector.
Warp
Warp enables fast travel of ships for energy (EU). It reduces days of travel into "minutes".
To enter warp, the ship needs adequate engine thrust compared to its weight. For heavier ships a warp drive is required. The warp drive has its own thrust in kg, which has to be higher then the weight of the ship, otherwise the ship will NOT be able to enter warp.
Warp takes the SAME energy no matter the distance of travel or time remaining. Its cost is weight dependent.
When the ship is in warp, it is usually visible only on the system map and not in spaceship-view.
The time a ship needs for WARP to become available depends on the basic engine thrust and weight of the ship. Be carefull, extra heavy ships can take minutes to reach speeds where warp becomes available and can be under fire in combat situation through the entire acceleration phase.
The ship will come out of Warp "Nose" first, not engine first as in normal flights.
Be carefull, enemy ships and objects can move while warping and be closer or farther away at the time of arrival.
Docking
For attempt to dock to any station, move closer than 3.6[km]. After ship is in "AHULL" state, right click the station and select dock.
Docking results
If station accept your docking request, your ship will be docked to the station. (Your own station will always accept your docking request) Station can reject your request, there are few reasons
- Station isn't yours and haven't build a dock/hangar yet, or this facility is heavy damaged
- Station hangar is closed by station owner
- Station owner is in ally you are in war with
Docking benefits
- While your ship is docked, it is not visible for others until they successfully dock to this station
- Enemy cannot damage ship until the station will be destroyed
- You cannot use station facilities until you dock
Docking risks
- Your crew can be infected by station crew or vice versa, if there are infected members. The time while docked increase probability.
- Station owner can reject your docking permission in any time an can expose danger your ship while you are not online.
- Station owner can close dock anytime and prevent access to your items stored in the warehouse
